Firefighters in our school

On February 1st , four volunteer firefighters visited our school as part of the "Volunteering" program. They first explained to us what the word volunteering means and told us what it is like to be a volunteer. They showed us the clothes they have to wear as well as their equipment. Specifically, they presented us the defibrillator, a device that is used if someone has fainted and a drone that they use to see things and areas from above. All firefighters communicate with each other by radio to prevent fires or in any other emergencies. They also showed us their base on the map and explained that they spend a lot of their free time in the base helping their fellow human beings not only in case of fire but also in flood and other emergencies. In the end, we saw  the fire truck,  the radio, the hose and the water tank.It was a very nice presentation - visit and we were all very excited by the experience.
